How it can help
Shelter provides free practical help and advice on housing and homelessness.
Services include:
- online housing information including subjects like reclaiming your deposit and applying as homeless;
- a free emergency helpline for urgent advice if you are homeless, have nowhere to stay or are at risk of harm or abuse in your home; and
- free legal advice and representation to those entitled to legal aid to help people who’ve lost their homes or are facing eviction.
