Hello.
My name is kate and am a busy mum of two boys aged seven and nine. I have a wealth of experience in the early years, including a BTEC National Diploma in Nursery- Nursing and a degree in Early Childhood Studies.
I have worked in a number of nurseries and in a Special Educational Needs support unit within a primary school. In addition to being a project worker in a Sure- Start setting.
I aim to create a 'home from home environment for your little ones in which they can build up healthy emotional attachments. I have the advantage of being able to provide 'one to one time with your child as the adult-to-child ratios are kept low. Young children have the advantage of consistent care as they are no staff changes, therefore providing a secure environment for your child.
You can be reassured your child is receiving the best possible care and education as I am inspected by OFSTED and regularly attend training to extend my childcare knowledge and safeguarding procedures. I have recently gained a 'Good' rating from Ofsted (August 2021).
I have the flexibility to take children regularly into the great outdoors. Together we explore the woods, beaches, parks and even the humble back garden, planting flowers, studying minibeasts and simply splashing in puddles!
I strive to work in close partnership with parents and have the advantage of having plenty of time to discuss your child's progress, their needs, and your working arrangements. I have resources, a lovely secure garden and a dedicated playroom in which to explore.
Please do not hesitate to ring me/e-mail me for an informal chat or simply to arrange a look around and discuss your childcare arrangements.
