At Little Sunbeams we aim to provide reliable childcare and early years education in a safe, stimulating and caring environment.

I am an experienced mum of four and have worked in both primary and secondary schools during my working life. I work with an assistant who is equally commited to high quality childcare and early years education. We have been rated Outstanding by Ofsted both times we have been inspected and I was a finalist for the Nursery World Childminder of the Year Award 2023.  I have also worked as a Childminder Mentor on the DfE Experts and Mentors Programme.

I have a well equipped home with toys and resources for all ages and abilities to enjoy.

I believe in allowing children to explore and discover the world while learning how to keep themselves, and others, safe.  I offer outdoor play in all weathers and have a supply of wellies and waterproof suits in all sizes so that we can enjoy rain, puddles and mud!

I have a spacious house in a quiet residential area with a large secure garden where children can enjoy playing with sand, building dens, growing plants and helping with our pet rabbits, dogs and guinea pigs. 

I offer a healthy, balanced menu and children will be able to learn to bake their own bread, make pizzas, bake cakes and help with cooking some meals.  

For children who like drawing and making, I have a large supply of craft materials, paints, pens, playdough (homemade by the children) and recycled materials for model making.
