Michelle Mattches

My name is Michelle. I own and run "Sticky Fingers Daycare" from my home in Guisborough. I live with my 2 children, aged 19 and 16. My daughter Izzy works alongside me as an Ofsted registered childminding assistant. 

We live in a 4 bedroomed house with the necessary adaptations needed for young children including a designated playroom. We have a lovely big garden which has a mud kitchen, a swing, a sandpit and a slide in it. I also have ride on cars and tractors and diggers.

I love working with children and have spent many years working in different environments. I spent a lot of time working with children with special needs in residential respite. I then went on to set up a commercial holiday and out of school club. Eventually I went on to study and work as a qualified primary teacher. I also have my own children. I attend local playgroups, the library and Sure Start drop in sessions.

The children and I go out everyday. I live very close to the woods and we enjoy a lot of time exploring them. We also visit local parks and the beach and other childminder groups and settings. In my home we do a lot of crafty things such as painting, gluing and also baking. I have a wide variety of resources available including jigsaws, baby toys, a ball pool and pop up tent, lots of books, dressing up outfits, garage and cars, trains, dolls and a play kitchen – to name but a few.

I am an OFSTED approved, fully insured, registered childminder and can offer full or part time care for children from birth upwards. I have completed the Homecare Practitioner Course ran by the local authority. I hold a Paediatric First Aid certificate and also a food hygiene certificate. I have attended the local authority training course on ‘Safeguarding Children.’ I provide day care between the hours of 8a.m. and 5.30p.m. Monday to Friday. I am happy to discuss any individual needs you may have. I also provide wrap around care before and after nursery and school, with drop offs and pick ups to Galley Hill Primary School and St.Paulinus RC Primary School. I provide a professional and friendly service in a warm, clean and friendly home and am committed to providing the very best care for children of all ages.
