The Montessori equipment is set out in designated areas - practical life (to promote fine motor skills, early maths and language skills); sensorial activities (to refine senses, encourage mathematical skills & thinking, lay foundations for the future learning in maths and language and sciences. Science activities; maths equipment, language activities. The Montessori approach encourages children to become independent, and to learn by doing. They have the freedom to choose their own activities and are given the time to work uninterrupted until they choose to finish, in a calm and caring environment. We have an outdoor area and have regular trips to the library, priory and local shops. 

Please note children need to bring a day bag and a packed lunch for home.
