Carers Together

Carers Together provides information and support for carers aged 18 and over, individually and in groups.

This can be from our premises, in the local community venues, at home or by phone, text or email.

Child Benefit

You get Child Benefit if you’re responsible for bringing up a child who is:

under 16

under 20 if they stay in approved education or training

Only one person can get Child Benefit for a child.


There’s no limit to how many children you can claim for.

Child Maintenance

Child maintenance covers how your child’s living costs will be paid when one of the parents does not live with the child. It’s made when you’ve separated from the other parent or if you’ve never been in a relationship.

This is a financial arrangement between you and the other parent of your child.
