Coatham House
We are a charitable organisation providing supported accommodation to people aged 16-25 who are homeless or may be at risk of homelessness in the Redcar and Cleveland area.
How it can help
Coatham house is made up of two divisions; Coatham House Projects (The charity side of the organisation) and Coatham House Enterprises (The trading arm of the organisation)
Coatham House Projects – To provide each of our young people with supported accommodation
We provide:
- Intensive Support – A service providing accommodation and support to young people with little or no skills. From this the young person will go on to be involved with a less intensive project ‘stepping stones.’
- Stepping Stones – Shared accommodation for 2 to 4 people per property aimed at people with some life and social skills who wish to be guided toward independent living.
- Direct Access – Two bed spaces offer emergency accommodation for young people
- Independent living skills – Key workers integrate this learning with the support of young people ensuring that this knowledge is sustained into the future.
- Accredited Training – This training which is equivalent to a level one qualification and is approved by AQA is offered to all our residents and is specially designed. This gives a good starting point to then go on to further education and gain employment.
We have small offices and a large meeting room that we hire out to businesses for courses, interviews etc.
