Building Connections Service - Help Young People Tackle Loneliness (NSPCC)
Building Connections Service is the NSPCC’s new support service that could be beneficial to young people supported within the Redcar and Cleveland area, particularly those with SEND.
Research shows by age 16-18, 73% of young people do not feel equipped to deal with loneliness and we want to change that (Vote for Schools survey, 2023).
At Building Connections, we remotely connect young people up to the age of 18 with a befriender to help them overcome, manage and build strategies to deal with loneliness as part of our targeted and focused early intervention strategy.
Any professional working with young people is able to refer in through the link below. You will also find further information, and our advert aimed at professionals. If you would like further information, I’d be happy to arrange a Teams meeting at a mutually appropriate time.
