Support for children under 5

In Redcar and Cleveland we support our children under the age of 5 by our Early Years SEND Practitioners Service.  The Early Years SEND Practitioners led by the Early Years Area SENDCo can offer advice and support to parents of children under 5 who have two or more areas of delay. They can offer practical advice about how to meet their child's needs through to advice about benefits that can be applied for. The team offer portage groups for the children to attend and allows the parent time to talk to other parents with children who have similar additonal needs.
