The SENDIASS Service provides independent, impartial advice to parents/carers with a child aged 0-25 years old with special educational needs. We also provide advice to children and young people with SEN. We can help with education, health and social care.
When contacting South Tees SENDIASS, please send an email if possible to southteessendiass@barnardos.org.uk with your name, contact telephone number, the Local Authority where you live and the advice you need at this time so sendiass can email you the information you need or book in a time to call you.
If you prefer to ring SENDIASS, please be aware, we are a very small service, our 2 sendiass officers, Joanne & Kerrie, job share over 5 days and give advice to parents & carers living in Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland, Joanne or Kerrie may be on another call or at a meeting when you call, please leave a message with your name, telephone number, the local authority area where you live and the advice you need and a worker can text you to book in a time to call you.
Our admin worker, Laura works Wednesday and Thursday mornings so this may be a good opportunity to ring the service to speak to her so your name can be added to our call log for a call / text / email response from a sendiass officer.
