RCBC Guisborough Central Activity and Well-being Service provide support for people with a learning disability 18 years and over. Guisborough Central Activity and Well-being service is a service which allows people to access the local community as well as trips to places of interest

How it can help

This is managed with a high staff ratio to allow one staff member to every two people supported. Trips have included York, Shildon (railway) Yorkshire lavender farm. Trips to the local high street for shopping and short health walks are also facilitated from the service. The Activity and Well-being service has great community involvement with local residents and volunteers supporting classes such as arts and crafts, swimming, gardening, line dancing, and cooking within the centre. 

An activity directory is available at each activity and well-being service identifying activities' aims and benefits 

Quarterly reviews are completed to ensure people are meeting their desired outcomes.
