At Middlesbrough College, we aim to do our very best for students. Our 16-18 students come to us in increasing numbers from across the Tees Valley and particularly Middlesbrough, Redcar and Stockton.

How it can help

Middlesbrough College is the largest provider of post-16 education and training in the Tees Valley, In August 2008, the College relocated from four sites across Middlesbrough to a new campus close to the town centre. The College offers further education courses in 14 of the 15 subject areas in further education, apprenticeships and employer training, and higher education. 

At Middlesbrough College, we aim to do our very best for students. Our 16-18 students come to us in increasing numbers from across the Tees Valley and particularly Middlesbrough, Redcar and Stockton. 
 
·       We offer full-time courses in a vast range of vocational areas and at all Levels. 

  

·       We offer a very comprehensive range of A Level courses. 

  

·       We offer apprenticeships with links to some great employers. 

  

·       We are open to all, however much you have achieved at school. 

  

·       We are delighted to be the Institute of Technology for the Tees Valley, delivering IoT bespoke technical qualifications and training, allowing people of all ages to gain industry specific skills. 

  

·       New IoT Centre coming soon in 2021! This will include a dedicated higher educational environment in a technical setting. 

  

·       We are investing £12million in to our campus! This includes the creation of a new digital skills centre, expansion to our sixth form and brand new construction workshops. 

  

·       We were ranked #1 GFE College in Tees Valley for the third year in a row by the Department for Education in March 2019. 

  

·       We offer the best student benefits in the Tees Valley. 

  

·       We are the only College in the Tees Valley to offer T Levels from 2020. 

  

·       We aim to be excellent, and Ofsted tell us in their inspection report (April 2011) that “Middlesbrough College is good with outstanding features”. 

  

·       We have a new building full of excellent facilities and we invest £1.5m a year to make sure that we keep on improving them. 

  

·       In 2012, we opened a new Sixth Form facility, MC6, as well as wonderful new MC Sports facilities all valued at some £7m. 

  

·       We have a network of 1,400 computers and you can access our virtual learning environment from home. 

  

·       We have over 4,000 full time students and apprentices in the College which is a sure sign we are doing the right thing.
