How it can help
Our learning and development programs offer social learning experiences outside the classroom, enabling you to engage with and learn from your local community. We are committed to providing opportunities for you to develop employability and life skills that will promote self-confidence and help you succeed.
As a group, we explore a range of essential topics, including personal safety, relationships, social and personal development, employment aspirations, internet safety awareness, travel training, money management, cooking, health and wellbeing, computer skills, CV and interview skills, independent living skills, teamwork, negotiation skills, and wellbeing, among others. We also provide a safe and social environment for service users to develop relationships and express themselves creatively through live music, art, day trips, sports, country walks, English Heritage and National Trust site visits, charity work, environment awareness, and more.
Our employment training and life skills programs offer work experience in a safe environment, including kitchen, front of house, and shop work, as well as training in front of house, food service, customer service, cleaning, conferencing, fine dining, retail, cash handling, POS systems, and support work. We encourage physical activity through sports, such as ball games, dancing, walks, and other games that get you moving. We also enjoy days out, visiting various places of interest.
