On 27th March 2024 we went live with our new updated Redcar and Cleveland Information Directory. This is replacing the old People Information Network (PIN) site. After consulting with parents/carers, young people and professionals in schools, it was clear that the old PIN site needed an overhaul to enable users to have more access to information particularly though mobile smart phones, to find information more easily and to make it easier for us to update information.
It was identified through a survey that parent/carers needed to be able to access information about support services within our area easier and that there was little awareness of the Local Offer. Funding was made available through the Department for Education's Delivering Better Value programme which Redcar and Cleveland Local Authority was awarded in 2023 and part of that funding was earmarked for updating our Local Offer and family information service.
We believe that this new site is more accessible, easier to use and will enable users to find the information about services available in our area with greater confidence.
