KTS academy is commissioned by the Local Authority to provide 170 places for pupils aged 3 -19 years who have and an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) with Cognition and Learning or Communication and Language as a primary need. This includes pupils with severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound, multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). Many of our children have a diagnosis of autism and some have physical and medical needs.
How it can help
KTS Academy provides education for children with a wide range of learning difficulties such as profound and multiple learning difficulty and includes those with autistic spectrum condition. Their pupils range from 2 – 19 years. Each school provides a personalised approach to learning for pupils, all of whom are constantly challenged and Back to Contents 87 encouraged to achieve to the best of their ability. They have highly trained staff who are skilled and experienced at meeting the needs of their learners.
