Anyone can be the target of fraud or scams. Sometimes, it can be hard to tell the difference between a con and a genuine offer. You might be contacted about:

  • your pension;
  • advance or upfront fees;
  • charity donations;
  • your bank accounts;
  • taking out a loan or credit;
  • insurance and warranty products;
  • making a claim; or
  • if you're suspicious about something you’ve seen online, or a financial service you’ve paid.

Sometimes these might be genuine however other times these might be ways of accessing your personal/financial information.
